Mission

Pitchwire is an AI-powered press release distribution platform. We help companies distribute newsworthy announcements to journalists, news outlets, and the public. Our editorial standards ensure that content distributed through our platform meets professional wire-service quality standards.

Editorial Review Process

Every press release submitted to Pitchwire undergoes an AI-assisted editorial review that evaluates the following criteria:

  • Presence of required elements: headline, dateline, body, boilerplate, and contact information
  • Compliance with AP Style formatting conventions
  • Factual consistency and internal coherence
  • Proper formatting of financial data, quotes, and attributions
  • Inclusion of required disclaimers (forward-looking statements, safe harbor language) where applicable
  • Absence of excessive promotional language, superlatives without attribution, or misleading claims

Releases that do not meet our editorial standards are flagged with specific issues and recommendations. Authors can revise and resubmit flagged releases.

Content Standards

Pitchwire does not distribute content that:

  • Contains false, misleading, or unverifiable claims
  • Promotes illegal activities or regulated products without proper disclaimers
  • Constitutes spam, phishing, or deceptive marketing material
  • Violates intellectual property rights or contains plagiarized content
  • Contains hate speech, discriminatory language, or defamatory statements
  • Lacks clear identification of the issuing organization

AI Content Generation

Pitchwire uses AI to assist with content polishing, formatting, and generation of distribution variants (social media posts, email summaries, structured data markup). All AI-generated content is derived from the original press release submitted by the client. Clients review and approve all content variants before distribution.

Corrections and Retractions

If a distributed press release contains errors, the issuing organization may request a correction or retraction by contacting our support team. Corrected releases are redistributed with a correction notice. Retracted releases are removed from our newsroom and a retraction notice is issued to distribution partners.

Independence

Pitchwire's editorial review is independent of advertising, distribution tier, or client relationship. All submissions are held to the same editorial standards regardless of the distribution plan purchased.
