About Pitchwire

A programmatic press release platform. No retainer, no agency, no upmarket pretense.

Pitchwire is an early-stage product built for SMB founders, solo PR consultants, and AI agents. We do AI editorial review, branded newsroom hosting, and wire syndication through our partner — for a flat fee per release starting at $149.

01 — What we do

What Pitchwire is

Pitchwire takes a press release draft, runs it through an AI editorial pipeline (AP-style polish + editorial score + structured issues), publishes it to your branded newsroom, and syndicates it via our wire partner. The same product is available through a web app, a REST API at /api/v1/*, and an MCP server for AI agents.

02 — How it works

Submit → review → publish → distribute

  1. Submit. Paste or POST your draft. A free AI preview returns a polished headline, an improved lede, and three quick wins before you pay.
  2. Review. The full pipeline runs an AI polish + AP-style review and returns an editorial score (0-100) with a list of flagged issues. You see the redline and approve before anything ships.
  3. Publish. Approved releases publish to your newsroom with schema.org NewsArticle markup, OG cards, RSS, and a Google News sitemap entry.
  4. Distribute. Released wire copy is filed with our wire partner (EIN Presswire) for AP News + Google News syndication. Email, LinkedIn, and X distribution ship from the same release on Standard tier and up.
03 — Why

Built for the people incumbents priced out

Traditional wires (Business Wire, PR Newswire) start near $800 per release with a lot of agency middlemen. Pitchwire starts at $149 per release with no retainer and no per-outlet upcharges. Wire syndication and AI editorial are bundled. The product is the same whether you submit through the web app or via the API.

We're also one of the first PR products with a first-class agentic surface: every web action is also a REST endpoint and an MCP tool, so AI agents like Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT can submit and manage releases the same way a human can.

04 — Founder

Who's building this

Pitchwire is a Texas-based product built by a small team of engineers and operators who used to spend our weekends helping friends' startups pay $800 to a wire service for a press release the founder had already written. The thesis is that a press release is a structured artifact, the editorial pass can be done by a model with humans approving the result, and the wire submission is a partner relationship that should not be priced like a private club. We started Pitchwire to test that thesis end to end.

We're early. We'll be candid in this section if and when the team or the company changes shape. hello@pitchwire.ai reaches a human.

05 — Stack

What's under the hood

Pitchwire is split into a Next.js web service (auth, billing, REST API, newsroom, dashboard) and a FastAPI AI service (Google ADK agents for polish, editorial, content, pitching, monitoring). Postgres on Neon, Stripe for billing, Clerk for auth, Sentry + BetterStack for observability, Cloudflare R2 for media, MCP server via FastMCP. The full architecture is documented at docs/architecture/ in our repo.

06 — Honest disclaimers

What we are not

  • We are not affiliated with the Associated Press, Bloomberg, Reuters, or USA TODAY. Wire syndication is performed through our wire partner (EIN Presswire); coverage on any specific outlet is determined by that outlet's editorial team.
  • Editorial review is AI, not human. We'll be explicit if and when that changes.
  • Earned-media monitoring, AI citation tracking, embargoed distribution, SSO, and audit logging are roadmap items, not generally available today.
  • We don't guarantee placement at any specific publication, and we're skeptical of anyone who does.
