Pitchwire Launches Programmatic Wire Service for AI-Native PR Teams
AUSTIN, TX — APRIL 15, 2026 /Pitchwire/ — Pitchwire, the first API-first press release distribution platform, today announced general availability of its programmatic wire service, designed for PR teams, AI agents, and automation workflows.
The platform combines AP-style editorial review with a developer-friendly REST API and MCP server, allowing press releases to be submitted, polished, reviewed, and distributed to over 2,400 newsrooms without manual intervention.
"Most wire services were built for humans clicking through a web form," said Nicolai Robles, founder of Pitchwire. "We built Pitchwire for the teams that are already running their comms stack through APIs, AI agents, and automation tools. One POST request gets you on the AP wire, Google News, and 2,400 newsroom inboxes — with an editor in the loop."
Key features at launch include:
- REST API (POST /api/v1/releases) with bearer token authentication and idempotency keys
- MCP server for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible AI agents
- AI-powered editorial polish with human-in-the-loop review
- Webhook callbacks for async notification when review completes
- Three distribution tiers: Starter ($149), Standard ($399), and Premium ($799)
Pitchwire is available immediately at https://pitchwire.ai. Developer documentation, API reference, and MCP connection instructions are at https://pitchwire.ai/developers.
